CONTEXT | Adventure is Out There
When I was three years old, my mother gave me a backpack in the shape of a panda and asked me to carry my own bag during our first trip to Da Lat. Since then — with the bare minimum on our backs — she has taken me around the world.
In 2011, I started to backpack around Southeast Asia on my own, and later, Europe. What I miss most now as I step into my 20’s of a full time job is the chance to leave it all behind and travel as I please. To fix this problem, I have promised myself to take one-day trips — by bus, by car, by train, by bike, or by plane — at least once a month to run away from the suffocation of New York City. I will only bring with me a Nikon 6006, five rolls of film, a change of clothes, and my wallet.
If you are interested in joining me on a trip or have suggestions for a location, please drop me a line through Tumblr or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the spirits of “Up,” adventure is out there.
